It’s encouraging that this winter season activity could hold for some time as the annual Vans Triple Crown of Surfing series is slated to run for four weeks, starting Dec. 21, as a specialty digital event sanctioned by the World Surf League. The competition will include 125 eligible men and women, who will submit footage of their top two individual waves from Haleiwa, Sunset and Pipeline.
