What happens in Pearl City stays in Pearl City? Perhaps that’s why it ranked dead last (No. 182) among “2020’s Most Sinful Cities in America” — last in this instance meaning good, meaning least sinful. The financial website WalletHub compared 182 locales across seven key dimensions (think the Seven Deadly Sins): anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity and laziness.

It’s all quite amusing, especially since folks here know that Pearl City isn’t a real city, and certainly not a hotbed of activity like real metros L.A. or Vegas; the latter, of course, topped the Sin City list.
