Man, 50, arrested in Punchbowl after allegedly kidnapping, assaulting woman

Police arrested a 50-year-old man this morning in the Punchbowl area for allegedly kidnapping a woman for several hours and assaulting her with a knife.

Police said the crimes occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:23 a.m. Saturday in the Honolulu area.

The man allegedly forced the 30-year-old woman into his vehicle and assaulted her with a knife.

Police arrested him at 112 S. School St. on suspicion of kidnapping and first-degree terroristic threatening.

He remains in police custody.
