Give antibody tests for those who had COVID
I had COVID-19 in March. I obediently isolated for six weeks as I kept testing positive (shedding dead cells), and didn’t get the vaccine because I’m sure I have antibodies.
And so I ask: What about antibody tests for us COVID survivors? The state Health Department has the records. Why are we and antibody tests not included in the measure of herd immunity?
I asked for the antibody test. My insurance company said no.
I guess that interferes with the master plan of the powers that be, whatever and whoever that is today.

Republican deserves thanks for Juneteenth
I’d like to congratulate Joe Biden on recognizing Juneteenth. In these terrible political times, it seems impossible for a Democrat to recognize and celebrate any Republican action, even one that has helped our country live up to its own ideals.
I hope Democrats take this as a challenge to do such good that my Republican grandchildren create a new national holiday, too.

Feds ‘transfer’ land it took in the first place
Let me see if I understand this alleged transfer of surplus “federal” property (“Interior secretary lauds land transfer to Department of Hawaiian Home Lands,” Star-Advertiser, June 15).
The U.S. government said this transfer will reduce a $16.9 million land credit by $10 million.
It seems to me that the federal government is selling this surplus land to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for $10 million. In effect, we are buying back these lands for $10 million. This $10 million could then be used to prepare this acreage for homes.
The U.S. government took this land at no cost, and now wants to “return” it for $10 million?
What’s wrong with this picture?
