Honolulu Fire Department airlifts father and son lost on Kamananui Valley Trail in Moanalua
The Honolulu Fire Department airlifted a father and son who were lost on the Kamananui Valley Trail in Moanalua.
Firefighters responded to a 1:03 p.m. 911 call for lost hikers.
Five units with 16 personnel responded, with the first unit arriving at 1:11 p.m. on scene.
They set up a landing zone, and HFD’s Air 1 inserted two rescue personnel to the hikers’ location.
The pair were uninjured, and were airlifted off the trail.
