Fire destroys apparently abandoned home in Maili

                                The owner of the four bedroom Maili house at 87-794 Farrington Highway said the 83-year-old tenant died in August 2020 and since then the owner has been in a dispute with the tenant’s two adult sons, one of whom which was notified last week by a deputy sheriff that the property must be vacated by July 23.

The Honolulu Fire Department is investigating a fire that destroyed a home in Maili. Twelve units with more than 35 firefighters responded to the blaze at 87-794 Farrington Highway near the intersection of Maipalaoa Road shortly before midnight Tuesday. Read more
