Pearl City man, 66, dies after police say he fell from a tree

Police said a 66-year-old Pearl City man fell from a tree and died Monday.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Earl Jeremiah.

Police said that the fall occurred at about 5:51 p.m. Emergency Medical Services was called, but EMS personnel could not revive him.

Cause and manner of death have yet to be determined. There were no witnesses, but it appears he fell in the vicinity of a tree in his own yard, and he was known to climb the tree to pick fruit, a person with the Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Police said there were no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.
