Motorcyclist, 54, critically injured after crash on Kaneohe Bay Drive

Police said the operator of a Harley Davidson was riding with a group of motorcycle riders heading westbound on Kaneohe Bay Drive.

A 54-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition this afternoon after hitting a rock wall while traveling on Kaneohe Bay Drive.

Police said the operator of a Harley Davidson was riding at 12:35 p.m. with a group of motorcycle riders heading westbound on Kaneohe Bay Drive.

When the man tried to overtake another motorcycle on the right when he lost control of the vehicle for some unknown reason and hit a rock wall.

He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition with possible head injuries, police said.

Police said speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to have contributed to the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
