Comedian Jo Koy will perform at Blaisdell Arena for two shows in November. Koy, above, attends the WarnerMedia Upfront at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 2019.

Oahu fans of Jo Koy can add another item to their gratitude list as the comedian plans to return to the isles Thanksgiving weekend.

The popular entertainer is scheduled to bring his “Funny Is Funny World Tour” to Blaisdell Arena on Nov. 26 and 27.

Tickets go on sale Thursday at 6 a.m. for Blaisdell subscribers (use code: COMEDY), and at 10 a.m. for the general public. Tickets prices are $56.50, $66.50 and $86.50, plus service fees.

Koy has been a local favorite ever since his Hawaii debut as the opening act and emcee for the infamous Snoop Dogg/Ludacris concert at the Blaisdell Arena in 2001.

In the years that followed Koy returned to Honolulu as a headliner in local nightclubs and showrooms, gaining fans and playing larger venues each time.

Koy sold out an impressive 11 shows at the Blaisdell Concert Hall in November 2017; he holds the record for a single performer’s ticket sales in the concert hall.

In November 2018, he recorded his “Break the Mold World Tour” comedy special at Blaisdell Arena. Koy brought his “Just Kidding World Tour” to Honolulu a year later for two arena shows in November 2019.

Blaisdell representatives were unable to be reached regarding any COVID-19 restrictions or requirements for the November shows.

A note on the Ticketmaster website stated, “As official local health guidelines evolve regarding COVID-19 safety protocols, select venues may shift seating configurations and/or increase capacity.”
