Lucky Paws Animal Foundation will hold a grand opening July 15 for its nonprofit feline rescue, cat resort and adoption center.
“Lucky Paws Animal Foundation was born out of compassion for the sick, injured, and at-risk animals on Oahu,” said Executive Director Chris Thompson in a statement. “We realize that a majority of rescue work relies on funding from compassionate donors, so our cat resort revenue goes directly into funding veterinary care, trap-neuter-release programs, adoption events, cat shipments, medicine and more.”
Reservations for the cat resort are now available for 38 all-inclusive suites. The suites, which range in size and are $40 to $140 a night, each feature fun themes and integrated technology. The foundation’s “Kitties R Us” Adoption Center is also open.
The feline rescue program focuses on trap-neuter-release and preparing sick and injured animals for foster care. Socialized cats and kittens will be ready for adoption or shipped to no-kill adoption centers on the mainland.
The center is located at 2875 S. King St., #102.
