Airmen and F-22 Raptor fighter jets arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam over the weekend from Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

The aircraft were displaced by Hurricane Michael in October and the Air Force is considering permanently relocating the jets to Oahu and other locations.

Additional Tyndall F-22s and crew are expected at Hickam.

The Tyndall airmen and jets join the 20 Hawaii-based Raptors led by the Hawaii Air National Guard’s 154th Wing, which operates and maintains the F-22s jointly with the active duty 15th Wing.
