The musical lineup for the fountains of Bellagio now includes “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.

It’s been announced that the changeover from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will take place almost a year later than originally planned. Following a sale last year, work on the switch was scheduled to begin early this fall and be completed in the spring of 2020. However, the scope of the project has expanded to the point that construction had to be postponed until February. The property will remain open as the Hard Rock for the first few months of work, then close sometime in the second quarter, with the reopening as Virgin scheduled for November 2020.

Instacomp: Earn 300 players club points at the South Point and get a comped lunch buffet, and earn 600 points for dinner. That’s about a half hour of play on a 25-cent slot or video poker machine to earn lunch. The offer is good Sundays through Thursdays in April and players club membership is free.

Tent show closes: Only one month into a scheduled six-month run at Excalibur, the “Fuerza Bruta” tent show has closed. Another show in a tent, “Celestia,” is scheduled to open May 1 at the Stratosphere. It joins Las Vegas’ resident tent show “Absinthe,” which recently celebrated its eighth anniversary at Caesars Palace.

Fountains go Gaga: Lady Gaga’s mega 2009 hit song “Bad Romance” has been added to the Fountains of Bellagio repertoire. A new song for the fountain show takes several months to be approved. Cher’s “Believe,” the last song to be added before “Bad Romance,” debuted more than a year ago.

Question: With the Vegas Golden Knights playing in the first round of the NHL playoffs, where’s a good place to watch the games?

Answer: TVs in sports books and bars all over town will be tuned to the games, so almost anywhere will do. The D’s Downtown Events Center will hold watch parties for all Knights playoff games, broadcast on its 72-foot high-def LED screen that’s enhanced by a stadium sound system. The outdoor parties are free and accessible to all ages.
