Enter our Keiki Kalikimaka Ornament Contest

Submission Deadline: Dec. 1, 2024
Hey, kids! It’s time to break out the art supplies and help us trim our pages with your holiday creations. Color, paint or sketch an ornament for the annual Star-Advertiser Keiki Kalikimaka contest, and you could win a prize of $150, $100 or $50 in cash.
The contest is open to ages 12 and younger. We will select a finalist to be printed daily on the front page of the newspaper, beginning Nov. 29. On Christmas Day, we’ll run all finalists and announce the prizewinners.
NOTE: The last day to enter the 2024 contest is Sunday, Dec. 1. No submissions will be accepted after that date.
IMPORTANT: All entries must be hand-drawn (no computer art) and scanned (at least 200 DPI resolution, JPG or PDF format). If you are unable to scan your art, take a high-quality, well-lit photo, shot straight-on and showing all edges of the piece (at least 1 MB file size in JPG format) and upload it to the online entry. No mailed-in or faxed entries accepted.

Ornament Contest Update: Submissions Closed and Winner Announcement

Dear participants and talented young artists,

We want to express our deepest appreciation to all who took part in our Ornament Contest. Your entries have filled us with joy and excitement as we've marveled at your incredible artwork.

As of the current date, submissions for the contest are officially closed. We are currently in the process of carefully reviewing each submission. On the Sunday before Christmas Day, we will unveil the prizewinners, along with their fantastic creations.

Once again, thank you for making our Ornament Contest a resounding success. We can't wait to share with you the amazing winners and their artworks. Until then, keep the holiday spirit alive and prepare for an exciting announcement just before Christmas Day.
