BIA-Hawaii’s January Big Home Building and Remodeling Show is THE home improvement event of the year. With hundreds of unique exhibits, free seminars, and services any homeowner will find what they need. The show will once again be held at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, as it has been for nearly 30 years. Unlike many other home improvement events, the Big Show brings builders, contractors, designers, suppliers and community agencies together under one roof. It is the ultimate one-stop resource for anyone tackling a remodeling, building or home improvement project.
Tickets may be purchased at the Blaisdell Box Office on event days, January 25th thru January 27th. Tickets are only $7 for adults and $5 with discount coupons available at BIAHawaii.org or in the January issue of Hawaii Home + Remodeling Magazine. Kupuna Sunday offers seniors 60 years of age and over to attend the show for only $2 admission. All attendees have complete access to exhibits as well as more than a dozen free seminars on Saturday & Sunday.
Advance preparation is vital for not only the hundreds of exhibitors, but attendees, as well. Pick up a copy of the Official Event Guide and make a list of exhibitors that you may want to visit, and any project questions that you have. Time on the exhibit floor is ideally planned around the seminars that you would like to attend at the show. Seminar topics range from condo renovation and designing your dream home to security windows and doors to solar. Whether you’re curious about putting in a pool or planning for an elderly family member, the seminars cover it all.
The Blaisdell will also be hosting the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and Lionel Ritchie over the weekend. We recommend if you’re attending one of these events or just planning for the Home Show, that you arrive before 5:00 pm daily. Show your HSO or Lionel Ritchie ticket at the door and you’ll enjoy free admission. Planning to attend the Symphony concerts on Friday or Saturday? Home Show attendees can purchase tickets half-off at the Blaisdell Box Office on show days.
It doesn’t matter if you’re six months or a year out from your home project, you’ll want to attend this show. Well-respected professionals will be there to help. BIA-Hawaii strives to provide you with the very best and for that reason we partner with the City & County’s Regulated Industries Complaints office and the Better Business Bureau at the event. Where else can you find every resource for your home and get background information at the same time? Looking for award-winners? The BIA-Hawaii show will feature some of the top designers, contractors and suppliers in Hawaii too. Look for the star symbol at the show.
