A federal jury deliberated for less than three hours before finding former world kickboxing champion Dennis Alexio guilty today of multiple counts of theft, money laundering, tax and wire fraud.
The charges stem from Alexio filing false tax returns for himself and others, including his wife, then taking steps to prevent the Internal Revenue Service from reclaiming the fraudulent tax refunds.
He is scheduled to face sentencing in May.
Alexio, 56, is also scheduled to stand trial in federal court in March for another case in which he is accused purchasing gold bars and silver coins using false transaction documents.
Might want to take his passport away before he decides to take a permanent vacation away from Hawaii and the US.

The personality that is a cage fighter does not lend itself to proper morals and conduct. Look further into this man’s history and I am sure you will find other evidence of skullduggery and misdeeds.
It’ll be interesting to see how his sentence compares to Albert Hee’s. Hee straight-up stole $4million, including money meant for native Hawaiians and poor people in rural areas and did not get much time. Is it influence or not?
