I have never used it in Hawaii, but have used it a lot on the mainland. I like the convenience and not having to handle any money. It is also easy to specify where you want to be picked up. During periods of “surge pricing” you can try switching service or looking for cabs to be sure you pay the lowest price. Also like that if you need a large car you can specify that.
Part-time taxi never appealed to me.

Works GREAT in the mainland, don’t use it much in Hawaii. Too bad you can’t get picked up at HNL like LAX .
A big YES, haven’t used an old taxi in years, I’m done with them, Hawaii, mainland, Europe.
A friend uses Uber on Super Bowl Sundays. He loves it!
