Reconciliation ceremony marks U.S.-Japanese unity

A memorial ceremony hosted by Koichi Ito, consul general of Japan in Honolulu, and Rear Adm. Matthew J. Carter, U.S. Pacific Fleet deputy commander, was held Friday at Pearl Harbor. The services began with the Rev. Chitoku Kawaguchi of Puunene Nichiren Mission on Maui playing a Japanese flute.
