There is one glaring omission from your lead story on the reasons why Gov. David Ige won by such a large margin over state Rep. Andria Tupola (“Crushing loss for Republicans,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 11). Their running mates for lieutenant governor, over which they had no control.
How many people voted for or against Ige or Tupola based solely on their preference for one nominee for lieutenant governor over the other? That would be a good question for your Big Q.
