"Last Resort," the ABC drama shot in Hawaii, continued to struggle in the ratings Thursday but may have lost viewers on a night filled with Major League Baseball playoffs, an NFL game (in some markets) and the vice presidential debate, according to the network, which released its Nielsen ratings Friday.
The third episode of "Last Resort" drew 6.9 million viewers, down from the 8 million who watched a week earlier, the network said. But that audience was more than enough to outmuscle NBC’s two comedies, "30 Rock" (3.8 million) and "Up All Night" (3.4 million).
The CBS comedies "The Big Bang Theory" (13.7 million) and "Two and a Half Men" (11.1 million) both led the hour.
Among adults 18 to 49, "Last Resort" got 1.6 percent of the total viewing audience and 4 percent of those watching TV at the time. Last week it drew 1.9 percent of the total viewing audience, the more important number that networks track.
