Police arrested a 46-year-old pickup truck driver early Thursday on suspicion of theft of a moped in Pearl City.
After stopping the driver for speeding, the officer discovered in the bed of the truck a moped that allegedly had a tampered ignition. Police said the officer then found that it was an unreported stolen moped.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree theft, driving without a license and a drug offense.
Man is accused of sexual assault in Palolo
Police on Thursday arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 55-year-old woman in Palolo.
The woman reported that the man sexually assaulted her at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Police arrested the man 39 minutes later on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.
