Hawaii island police are looking for an 18-year-old Hilo man in connection with a burglary in Puna on Thursday.

An alert neighbor saw a suspicious man approach the front door of a Hawaiian Paradise Park residence and then move to the rear of the residence, where signs of a break-in were later discovered. Police confirmed that cash and electronic devices were taken.

On Friday, police asked the public's assistance in locating the man, who is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with short brown hair, a tan complexion and a light mustache.

The case has been classified as first-degree burglary.
