Woman held after allegedly smashing into 2 police cars

Police arrested a 20-year-old woman who drove into two Honolulu Police Department vehicles while trying to flee a traffic stop.

The incident occurred around 3:07 p.m. in Pearl City.

According to police, a police officer saw the suspect commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop her. The suspect allegedly refused to stop her vehicle and was then pursued by the officer.

During the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle allegedly collided with two police cars. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage, driving without a license, fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle collision, and driving without proof of insurance.
