Candidates stress value of voting to isle students

Maryknoll School held a pep rally Wednesday in which the school’s 1,250 students dressed in red, white and blue and celebrated the importance of voting and civic engagement. Special political guests included David Ige, James “Duke” Aiona, Mark Takai, Charles Djou and alumna Rep. Della Au Belatti. Students greeted Ige as he was being introduced at the event, which was held in the Maryknoll gym and organized with the help of We Vote Hawaii, an affiliate of Kids Voting USA.
