Swedish guard Sheriff Drammeh has become the fourth recruit signed by the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team.
Drammeh’s signing was confirmed Friday by UH. Classes begin Monday.
Drammeh, a 6-foot, 3-inch 160-pounder, will have four years of eligibility.
He played for Sweden’s 18-and-under national team, averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in the 2014 European Championships, UH said.
“His vast international experience will allow him to adapt to the college game,” coach Eran Ganot said in a statement released by UH. “Sheriff is very excited about Hawaii and will fit well with our program.”
Ganot declined to say whether Bryce Canda of Central Wyoming Community College, the only other guard announced by UH, has met all eligibility requirements.
UH’s other recruits since Ganot took over are Jack Purchase, a forward from Auburn, and Sai Tummala, a forward from Arizona State.
