Pair wanted in robbery, stabbing
A 19-year-old woman was robbed, stabbed and thrown from a stationary vehicle in the Waimalu area at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Being sought are two suspects: a 38-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.
Detectives said the victim knows the suspects. She was robbed of her backpack, stabbed multiple times by a woman and then thrown from the rear passenger seat of the vehicle, which was driven by a man, police said.
A source said the woman was shoved or pulled out of the vehicle, which was not moving, at the Pearlridge Terrace apartment complex near Kaonohi Street.
The woman was transported in serious condition from 98-731 Moanalua Loop, according to a spokeswoman from the city Department of Emergency Services. The victim suffered what appeared to be gashes to her leg and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center for treatment.
The case is being investigated as an attempted murder and robbery. The male suspect has a long criminal history, detectives said.
