The end of Furlough Fridays was welcomed by many people yesterday. Eileen Nims, above, said she has had to adjust her work schedule to care for her children including daughter Ariya, 8, pictured, on Furlough Fridays. Nohea Kamelamela, left, and twin sister Haku work at the Women's Community Correctional Center in Kailua. Though the two are essential employees and so were not furloughed, both have had their work schedules affected by the absence of co-workers.
