Firecracker sales for July 4 fizzle with new law

It should be a much quieter Fourth of July this year with a near total fireworks ban in effect. Firecrackers can still be purchased with a permit, but few have been sold. Swinton Aniol and his son Kiani, 7, didn’t realize they needed a permit Wednesday when they stopped by the Kaheka Don Quijote store in search of firecrackers.
