UH football season tickets on sale Monday
Season tickets for University of Hawaii football go on sale Monday online, on campus or by phone.
Tickets for the seven-game home schedule are available at HawaiiAthletics.com, at the Stan Sheriff Center box office and by calling 944-2697.
Box office and telephone purchases may be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Ticket prices are $145 for sidelines and $114 for faculty and staff. South end zone is $127 ($110 for red and yellow). North end zone is $99 for adults, $75 for adult red and yellow, $87 for senior citizens, $70 for senior citizens red and yellow and $60 for youth ages 4 through high school.
The Warriors’ seven-game home schedule includes Colorado (Sept. 3), UC Davis (Sept. 24), New Mexico State (Oct. 22), Utah State (Nov. 5), Fresno State (Nov. 19), Tulane (Nov. 26) and Brigham Young (Dec. 3).
QB Club features rugby, Special Olympics
John Campbell of the Royal Rugby Union and Dan Epstein, the vice president of Special Olympics Hawaii, are the featured speakers at Monday’s Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting at Maple Garden restaurant.
Campbell, who resides in San Diego, will talk about a rugby tournament on Oahu in November.
Epstein has been involved with Special Olympics for 18 years and currently works for the organization as VP of Sports. Epstein will talk about the recently completed World Summer Games in Athens and introduce powerlifter Nicolas Pang, who won two gold medals.
Lunch is at 11:30 a.m., followed by the noon program. The cost is $15.
Boxing fundraiser Saturday at Palolo
Boxers from around the state will compete in the USA Boxing-Hawaii amateur show next Saturday at Palolo District Park Gym. The event is a fundraiser for USAB-Hawaii. Bouts feature boxers from Oahu, Maui, Molokai and Kauai. Bouts start at 6:15 p.m.

Vulcan Athletic Hall of Fame to induct 3
James Bradley (basketball), Nick Mason (golf) and Dr. John Uohara (team physician) will be inducted into the University of Hawaii at Hilo Vulcan Athletic Hall of Fame on Sept. 3.

Ex-Warrior Elimimian shines in Lions’ loss
Former Hawaii linebacker Solomon Elimimian had a game-high nine tackles for British Columbia in a 33-17 loss to Edmonton on Saturday in a Canadian Football League game.
Adam Leonard, another ex-Warrior, added two tackles for the Lions, who fell to 0-3.
Elimimian is tied for second in the CFL with 21 tackles for the season.
