HOLDING COURT: Local boy Jason Tam (Paul San Marco in the revival of "A Chorus Line") will re-create his role of Xander in an upbeat andhighly regarded off-Broadway musical, "Lysistrata Jones," set to bow Dec. 14 at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre. This show, about a basketball team that hasn’t won a game in 30 years, is inspired by Aristophanes’ "Lysistrata." It was originally staged in a 99-seat Greenwich Village gym at Judson Memorial Church but dribbled off with ample raves and hurrahs, good enough for a full-court press uptown. The artistic team includes playwright Douglas Carter Beane, a three-time Tony contender, last nominated for his book for "Sister Act," still playing on the Great White Way. "Lysistrata" previews begin Nov. 14, with a planned premiere in the 940-seat Kerr, and yes, Jason’s Honolulu parents, James and Linda Tam, will be in the opening-night house. …

The trio — dad Lloyd, sons Nick and Alex — shared their new CD single, "Feel the Light," which was recorded prior to their trip and involved performing guests Jake Shimabukuro, Mark Tanouye and Sean Carroll, and engineer Milan Bertosa, who donated time and talent.
