Korean cinema has hit another milestone with the release of the first 3-D Korean film, "Sector 7," which opened in Korea Aug. 4. Box office numbers for the opening weekend were just under 1.5 million viewers. I viewed the film on premiere weekend with much anticipation as I had met the director, Yoon Je Kyoon, at the Pusan International Film Festival and seen the stars, Ha Ji Won ("Secret Garden," "Haeundae") and Oh Ji Ho ("Fantastic Couple," "Super Rookie"), when they attended the Hawaii International Film Festival.

"My Love by My Side"
Episodes 9 and 10
Tonight, 6:45 p.m.: Mi-sol breaks Soryong’s laptop but doesn’t have money to buy him a new one. Seok-bin starts working at his uncle’s company.
Tonight, 7:45 p.m.: Seok-bin goes back to the bar where he saw Mi-sol but misses her. Mi-sol gets a job at Jinsong Industries, where she has to work with Soryong. Mahn-soo is fired. Joo-ri goes on a miserable blind date.
"Lie to Me"
Episodes 13 and 14
Tomorrow, 7:45 p.m.: Ki-joon decides not to go to the dinner with Yoon-ju’s parents, when Ah-jung calls and says that she misses him. Ki-joon goes to China to talk to Mr. Chen but does not tell Ah-jung. Ah-jung finds out and decides to help Ki-joon.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ki-joon finds out about Ah-jung’s sacrifice. He takes Ah-jung to a crowded place and yells out that he loves her. Ki-joon and Ah-jung go together to the party Mr. Chen invited them to.
"City Hunter"
Episodes 15 and 16
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Young-ju sees the silhouette of his savior right before he passes out. Yoon-sung hacks into Young-ju’s condo’s security system and finds out Chun’s man was behind Young-ju’s attempted murder.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Yoon-sung gets nervous as Young-ju gets closer to revealing his true identity as the City Hunter. Yoon-sung goes to see Na-na and confess his feelings.
"New Tales of Gisaeng"
Episodes 47 and 48
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Sa-ran tells Sura that his wife is about to leave for India. Sura does his best but fails to stop his wife from leaving. Sa-ran’s feeling under the weather, and Soon-deok tells her she might be pregnant. Sa-ran is elated when the pregnancy test turns out positive.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Sura becomes a doting father-in-law when he hears Sa-ran’s pregnant. Ja tries to get Gong-ju drunk to consummate their marriage, but he gets drunk and passes out first. Madam Oh announces her resignation.
