Amis signs with European team

Former University of Hawaii forward Bill Amis will continue his career in Europe after signing a contract with Trefl Sopot in the Polish Basketball League.

Amis agreed to a one-year deal with an option for a second with Trefl Sopot, which plays in Poland’s top-level basketball league.

Amis averaged 15.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Rainbow Warriors in his senior year. He was a second-team All-Western Athletic Conference pick and earned the Art Woolaway Award as UH’s most outstanding player.
