Benefit wine walk features fashion, food and photos
Local downtown-based fashion designers and boutiques will be the focus of the Downtown Fashion Wine Walk taking place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday.
The event will benefit Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, whose mission is to help people with employment barriers become self-sufficient.
Tickets are $25 for the event, which includes access to wine tasting and appetizers at area boutiques and shops, entry to a trunk sale, chances to win prizes, and the opportunity to be among the first in Hawaii to view a segment of “Dresscue Me.”
The Web-based series “Dresscue Me” is a Planet Green and Goodwill presentation hosted by Shareen Mitchell, who shares her affordable approach to vintage clothing.
There will also be a guest appearance by designer Andy South, who will be available for photos with guests, and the night’s festivities will include recognition of Old Navy for its support of Goodwill, as well as a free street festival with food booths and fashion vendors, a fashion show, music and other fashion-focused activities.
Participants include Art Board, Art Treasures, ARTS at Marks Garage, Bar 35, Bella Torre, Bethel Street Gallery, Better Brands, Brasserie Du Vin, Catherine’s Closet, Fashionista’s Market, Fighting Eel, Hawaii Institute of Hair Design, JJ Dolan’s, Johnson Brothers, Lei Chic, Murphy’s Bar & Grill, Organik Clothing, Owens & Co., Pegge Hopper Gallery, Roberta Oaks, Roy Venters, Serenity & Massage, Super Citizen, Xerox and others.
