Ihilani features new selection of wedding plans
The luxury JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa is offering a new selection of wedding packages called the Makali‘i Bridal Collection.
The wedding plans range from simple ceremonies held on the lawn at sunset to elaborate packages that include flowers, music (vocalist, harpist, guitarist or ukulele player), butler service during the ceremony, ballroom receptions and bridal suite stays.

Lanikai to host surf festival and craft fair
The first Lanikai Surf Festival is set for Sept. 23 and 24 at Lanikai Park.
The festival will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 with the showing of a surf film by Don King at Lanikai Park Pavillion.
The event continues Sept. 24 with a Triangle SUP race at 8 a.m.
A surf-themed craft fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 24 with sample sales from surfboard manufacturers, and a consignment booth for surfboards. Presentations by surfers, shapers, photographers and others will take place in the pavillion.
Speakers will include Uncle George Downing on the advent of modern big-wave surfing, Buzzy Kerbox speaking about the invention of tow-in surfing, and Derrick Dorner on the mental aspects of riding giant waves.
The day wraps up with the showing of a Jack McCoy film at 7:30 p.m. at the pavilion.
