Amateur boxing show Saturday
Boxers from Oahu and Kauai are scheduled to compete in Saturday’s Amateur Boxing of Hawaii match event at Palolo District Park gym.
Bouts begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $12 at the door.

Boxing boot camp Saturday
Former pro boxer Jen Siegal is the featured instructor for Boot Camp Hawaii’s “Get Fit Boxing,” a six-week fitness program that begins Saturday at Boca Hawaii.
The hourlong class starts at 8:15 a.m. at 330 Cooke St. The cost is $60 for the series.

Late registration for Century Ride
The Hawaii Bicycling League is accepting late registration for Sunday’s Century Bike Rides.
More than 2,000 cyclists are expected to participate in the 30th annual event, which offers rides of 25, 50, 75 and 100 miles. Online registration is available through today at active.com, at Saturday’s packet pickup, and on race morning prior to the 6:15 a.m. start at Kapiolani Park.
Packet pickup is Saturday at Waikiki Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Fundraiser for Olympic boxing hopeful
Kawano Boxing Club’s Lisa Ha will be competing in next month’s PAL Boxing national championships in Toledo, Ohio, the final qualifier for the USA Boxing Olympic Trials.
Ha, who recently won a title at the Ringside World Championships, is seeking a top-three finish at 112 pounds in order to advance to next year’s trials. Women’s boxing will make its debut at next year’s London Games.
A fundraiser to defray travel expenses is scheduled for Wednesday at Pearl Ultra Lounge from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 (presale at lisaha808.com) or $15 at the door.

Paddle challenge coming up
Hawaii’s Kai Lenny and Dave Kalama are among the world’s top standup paddleboarders scheduled to compete in the North Shore Paddle Challenge, Oct. 14-16, at the Turtle Bay Resort
The event consists of both short sprint and long distance courses.
Entries are being accepted online at standupworldseries.com.
Lenny and Kalama will also give SUP clinics, Lenny on Oct. 13 and Kalama on Oct. 14. Online registration is at watermanleagueclinics.eventbrite.com.
