HPD officers greeted each other Friday evening as they awaited visitation services for officer Eric Fontes at Borthwick Mortuary. Fontes, 45, died Sept. 13 after being struck by a car beside Farrington Highway.

Honolulu Police Department officers made their way Friday toward memorial services for officer Eric Fontes at Borthwick Mortuary in downtown Honolulu. On Wednesday at 9 a.m., there will be a pass and review in front of HPD's Alapai Street headquarters during which officers will line up on the Beretania Street sidewalk to salute and pay their final respects to Fontes.
