Hawaii National Bank is bringing Hawaii students an opportunity to earn up to $3,500 in prizes by inspiring others to become lifelong savers.
The bank is kicking off the Hawaii segment of the nationwide "Lights, Camera, Save" contest, which invites students ages 13 through 18 to create a video of up to 90 seconds to communicate the value of saving. The contest is part of the American Bankers Association’s "Teach Children to Save" program.
Hawaii National Bank will choose the statewide finalists and open up voting to Facebook fans on Nov. 7 at www.facebook.com/HawaiiNational. A winner will be announced by Nov. 18. That student will earn a $500 prize from the bank, and the video will be submitted to compete nationally for up to $3,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds.
Visit www.hawaiinational.com to download an entry packet. To submit, students should upload their video to YouTube and send the link and a PDF of the completed entry form to Hawaii National Bank at hnbinfo@hnbhawaii.com. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 1. Videos will be judged on creativity, content and message.
