Kids free at Makai club

Kids can play free year-round at Makai Golf Club at The St. Regis Princeville Resort. Juniors 15-under are free anytime, with a paying adult, and juniors 16 and 17 get half off green fees.

The Troon Family Golf program also allows juniors to use complimentary Callaway rental clubs. If one adult accompanies two or three juniors, one plays free and the other juniors get half off the adult rate. The 27-hole Makai Golf Club features the 18-hole Makai Course and the 9-hole Woods Course. The courses reopened in early 2010 after a 14-month renovation.

Kalani event at Prince

The fifth annual Kalani Athletics “Thanksforgiving” Golf Classic will be Nov. 18 at Hawaii Prince. It benefits Kalani student-athletes and coaches.

Format is Scramble and Best Ball Shamble with an 11:30 a.m. start. Cost is $150 per player with three-player teams. For more information, call 808-673-3321 or email gokalani@gmail.com.
