CBS-TV’s "Hawaii Five-0" hit a season two ratings low Monday night despite a guest cast filled with big-name star power.
CBS attributed the ratings slip to a combination of the baseball playoffs and "Monday Night Football."
In its fourth episode, which featured Oscar winner Patty Duke and Golden Globe winner Peter Fonda, "Five-0" finished a close second in the hour with 10.07 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings released by CBS. ABC’s "Castle" also drew a season low: 10.24 million viewers. A rerun of "Prime Suspect" aired on NBC, which last week canceled "Playboy Club."
But among adults 18-49 on Monday night, "Five-0" did well, attracting 2.7 percent of the total viewing audience and 7 percent of those who were watching TV at the time. Those numbers were better than those for "Castle": 2.1 percent of the total viewing audience and 5 percent of those watching TV.
Last week, "Five-0" attracted 11.07 million viewers while "Castle" drew 11.18 million viewers.
