With the help of more than 50 Oahu restaurants and chefs, The Good Table benefit raised more than $75,000 for the homebound assistance program Lanakila Meals on Wheels.
On Thursday, more than 330 diners shared meals with family and friends at prepurchased tables at participating restaurants such as Alan Wong’s, 12th Avenue Grill, 3660 on the Rise, California Pizza Kitchen, Michel’s, Murphy’s Bar & Grill, Nobu Waikiki, Roy’s Waikiki, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Sam Choy’s Breakfast Lunch & Crab, Side Street Inn, and Big City Diner and Zippy’s restaurants islandwide.
"In one evening, we were able to turn one great meal at participating dining establishments into over 8,800 meals for Hawaii’s seniors," said Lyn Moku, director of the program.
