In the airport shuttle battle, consumer wins
It will be interesting to see who wins in the Battle of the Titan Airport Shuttles. With any luck, it will be the consumer.
The ink on the news release about SpeediShuttle was barely dry when another one popped out from the offices of competitor Roberts Hawaii. It announced that the company was offering a new airport-Waikiki Roberts Express Shuttle. Price: $12 one way, $20 round trip.
As for the taxicab drivers, perhaps they can figure out how to lure the passengers away. Unrolling the red carpet beneath their feet, perhaps?
Hawaiian music will parade through New York City
On tune, the Hawaii All State Marching Band, comprising nearly 400 high school musicians, will play next month for the second time in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
The composite band, also known as Na Koa Ali‘i (The King’s Warrors), was formed in 2002 to appear at the 2003 Pasadena Tournament of Roses, the first of three appearances in the Rose Bowl-connected extravaganza. It also has performed at Disneyland and in the Tournament of Roses Bandfest field exhibitions, making its Macy’s parade debut in 2005, according to the band’s website. Its repertoire in New York will feature "Hawaiian War Chant" and exit music of "Mele Kalikimaka."
