Johnson, Hawaii Five-0 cast at UH Hoopfest
Musician Jack Johnson and some of the cast of "Hawaii Five-0" head up a list of celebrities participating in the University of Hawaii’s Ohana Hoopfest on Friday night.
The Hoopfest takes place in the Stan Sheriff Center after the UH volleyball match against Utah State. Attendance is free after the 7 p.m. match, with the Hoopfest estimated to start at 9:15.
UH’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will introduce themselves to fans, followed by celebrity games.
Other celebrity participants are said to include UFC fighter Chris Leben, cast members from "Dog the Bounty Hunter," entertainer Augie T., former UH standout receiver Ashley Lelie and Vili the Warrior.
HPU blanks Dixie State in soccer
Heimana Chene and Linus Ekden scored goals to give Hawaii Pacific a 2-0 victory over Dixie State in men’s soccer Wednesday at Atherton Field in Kaneohe.
George Fochive and Truls Lystad had assists for the Sea Warriors (11-4, 8-2 Pacific West Conference).
The Red Storm dropped to 7-4-2 and 6-1.

Cal Baptist knocks off BYUH
Kylie Nicassio and Fabiola da Silva scored goals to give Cal Baptist a victory over previously undefeated Brigham Young-Hawaii in women’s soccer Wednesday in Laie.
Eva Solis assisted on Nicassio’s goal for the Lancers (11-1-1, 7-0-1 PacWest).
The Seasiders fell to 8-1-1 and 5-1-1.
» Osvaldo Bastida scored three goals and Michael Salazar added two for Cal Baptist in a 6-0 blanking of Brigham Young-Hawaii in men’s soccer at Laie.
Jonathan Fausto also scored for the Lancers (10-4, 7-1).
The Seasiders are 7-4-1 and 3-3-1.
