Parole violator sought
Hawaii County police are looking for a 30-year-old Pahoa man who violated parole.
Police describe Matthew Keoni Tilfas as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes and possibly a mustache and goatee.
He has several tattoos: Bugs Bunny on his back, a large cross and "Keoni" on his upper left arm, a series of triangles on his left forearm, a rose and "Courtney" on his left inner forearm, and the name "TILFAS" on his abdomen.
Tilfas also goes by the names "Matt" and "Jenning."
Anyone with information on Tilfas’ whereabouts is asked to call Detective Royce Serrao at 961-8810, Detective John Rodrigues at 961-2382 or police at 935-3311.
Anonymous tipsters may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 or 329-8181.
Man allegedly threatens and chokes teen
A 40-year-old man was arrested Thursday after choking a 15-year-old girl, police said.
The man was mad at the girl when he threatened to kill her at about 9 p.m. Sept. 25 in Kapolei, police said. He also allegedly threatened her with a dangerous instrument.
Police arrested him for investigation of terroristic threatening and abuse.
