2 men injured in Ewa Beach stabbing
Police were investigating a stabbing incident at Oneula Beach Park on Saturday that left one man in critical condition and another in serious condition.
According to Emergency Medical Service scanner transmissions, a 24-year-old man suffered a deep stab wound to the back of his neck and a shallower 10-inch wound to his chest. A 22-year-old man, identified as a friend of the first victim, suffered stab wounds to his left thigh and right calf. They were reported to be in critical and serious condition, respectively.
Both were taken to an area trauma center, according to an EMS representative.
The incident occurred in Ewa Beach shortly before 8 p.m.
Honolulu police were unable to confirm whether a suspect had been identified or arrested in the case.
Man arrested after Ala Moana sex assault
A 24-year-old man is behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Ala Moana Center early Saturday morning.
Police said the victim, 25, reported the man entered her vehicle without her permission and sexually assaulted her about 3 a.m. The man also stole money from her and damaged her vehicle, police said.
The man, who lives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, was arrested pending charges of first-degree sexual assault, unauthorized entry into a vehicle, fourth-degree theft and criminal property damage.
SUV backs over 8-year-old boy in Waipahu
An 8-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after an SUV backed over him in Waipahu.
The boy was pinned under the rear tire for several minutes and had an upper leg injury, according to emergency dispatch reports. Paramedics took him to the Queen’s Medical Center. An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said he was in serious condition.
The incident happened in a parking lot on Aniani Place about 1:25 p.m.
