Tony Group has opened a new dealership, Tony Hyundai Honolulu, at 1069 S. Beretania St., just Ewa of Pensacola Street.

In addition to offering all other Hyundai models, the dealership will be the only one in Hawaii to offer the carmaker’s new Equus, a luxury sedan.

"This is a very exciting time for Hyundai and for Tony Group," said Stan Masamitsu, Tony Group president. "Hyundai is one of America’s fastest-growing car companies."

Hyundai Motor America is "excited to finally have a Hyundai location right in town," said Derrick Hatami, Western region general manager. "This will be a great addition to our brand in Hawaii."

Formerly an Audi dealership, the new Hyundai facility will offer service and parts operations in addition to vehicle and warranty sales.

Tony Group, best known for its Central Oahu autoplex, sells Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Volkswagen models from its Auto Mall that also includes a service facility and car wash. The group also operates Tony Pearlridge, offering used vehicles.
