Here are the synopses of this week’s Korean drama shows:
"My Love by My Side"
Episodes 35 and 36
Tonight, 6:45 p.m.: Yoon-jung and Seok-bin strike a deal. They agree to stay together as long as she takes care of the baby and keeps her mouth shut. Mi-sol keeps avoiding Soryong. Un-hee meets with Sun-ah and tells her that she is against her son’s relationship with Mi-sol. Un-hee goes home and tells Soryong about Mi-sol’s past. He responds by saying he already knows and doesn’t care.
Tonight, 7:45 p.m.: Sun-ah overhears Mi-sol and Jung-ja talking and finds out that Yong-woong is Seok-bin’s son. She proceeds to give Jung-ja the beating of her life. Sun-ah swears never to forgive them for what they did to Mi-sol. She also finds out that Jung-ja was the person who sent Un-hee a letter and photo about Mi-sol’s past.
"Warrior Baek Dong Su"
Episodes 23 and 24
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Gwang-taek decides to leave Hanyang. Jin-ju is sad because she never got to call him Dad. Gwang-taek and Chun meet for their last battle.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Yeo-woon tells Chun that he never taught him, only ordered him to do things. Chun tells Yeo-woon that he is nothing but an assassin. Yeo-woon says that he’ll do things his way now.
"Live in Style"
Episodes 3 and 4
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: No-ra causes trouble in the family when she asks Dae-ra to fund her business. Ah-ra is humiliated on her arranged date. She knows Shin-hyung is the best man for her, but breaks up with him to save her pride. Shin-hyung lies to his mom and says Ah-ra is pregnant, but his mom still won’t give him her blessing.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Shin-hyung tells his mom he’ll become a Buddhist monk if he can’t marry Ah-ra. Sung-ae collapses at work and is taken to the hospital. She complains it cost her money to get useless tests. Sung-ae decides to marry Yong-pal so she wouldn’t become a burden on her unwed daughter, Ah-ra.
"Tree with Deep Roots"
Episodes 1 and 2
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: The turbulent life of King Sejong (Song Joongi), one of the greatest kings of the Joseon Dynasty, is explored from his time as a fragile young prince to his emergence as the great king who invents Hangul, the Korean alphabet.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: King Taejong sentences his prime minister to death by poisoning for driving a wedge between his son and himself. Prince Yi Do tries to help his father-in-law, the prime minister, but fails.
