State Department special agent Christopher W. Deedy was met by protesters Scott Cade, left, and Carolyn Hadfield as he left Honolulu District Court with his wife, Stephanie, Thursday after his initial appearance on a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Kollin Elderts in a confrontation at a McDonald's in Waikiki on Nov. 5.
