Cal Baptist takes early Cup lead
With four championships out of five in the fall season, first-year member Cal Baptist leads the PacWest Commissioner’s Cup standings.
The Lancers won the women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country titles outright and shared the title with Hawaii Pacific in men’s soccer for 47 points. Grand Canyon is second (41 points), followed by BYU-Hawaii (40), two-time defending Cup winner Hawaii Pacific (35.5) and Dixie State (27).
Rounding out the standings are Academy of Art (24), Hawaii Hilo (16.5), Notre Dame de Namur (20), Chaminade (12.5) and Dominican (10.5).

Men’s Honor Roll
» Kyle Allen, HPU: The junior forward scored 14 points with six rebounds as the Sea Warriors dropped their PacWest opener to Chaminade.
» Lee Bailey, CU: The freshman guard scored 22 points with eight assists, six rebounds and three steals in the Silverswords’ conference-opening victory over HPU.
» Waly Coulibaly, CU: The junior guard went 6-for-8 for 15 points as the Silverswords edged the Sea Warriors.
» Matt Cousins, CU: The senior forward led the Silverswords past HPU with 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
» Glenn Miller, HPU: The senior forward came off the bench for 14 points and 11 rebounds in 19 minutes of play in the loss to the Silverswords.
Women’s honor roll
» Jordan Ahakuelo, CU: The sophomore guard out of Pearl City scored 18 points with seven rebounds and three assists as the Silverswords lost their conference opener to HPU.
» Paris Gravely, HPU: The senior guard was 7-for-10 from the floor en route to 19 points in helping the Sea Warriors past the Silverswords.
» Mana Hopkins, HPU: The senior forward out of Konawaena finished with a double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) with five assists in the win over Chaminade.
» Skye Savini, HPU: The sophomore guard scored 24 points with eight rebounds for the Sea Warriors against the Silverswords.
» Shayla Washington, BYUH: The junior guard averaged 11 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in losses to D-I teams Brigham Young and Arizona in the Seasiders’ Hukilau Invitational.
