State to hold meeting on Kawainui Marsh
The state will hold a meeting this weekend to get public input on plans for Kawainui-Hamakua Marsh in Kailua.
The state Department of Land and Natural Resources says the effort will update a plan dating to 1994. It will incorporate the Hamakua wetland and hillside area and provide a comprehensive plan for critical natural and cultural resources in Kailua.
The meeting is the first of four community outreach meetings planned.
It’s scheduled to be held at Le Jardin Academy on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
