For the first time this season, "Hawaii Five-0" drew a larger overall viewing audience than its key rival, "Castle," according to Nielsen numbers released Tuesday by CBS.
The show’s 11th episode, which followed the search for a group of kidnapped schoolchildren, attracted 11 million viewers Monday night while ABC’s "Castle" drew a season low of 8.12 million viewers. The NBC newsmagazine "Rock Center with Brian Williams" drew 3.42 million viewers.
Among adults 18-49, "Five-0" continued to dominate in the key demographic. The show drew 3 percent of the total viewing audience and 9 percent of those watching TV at the time. "Castle" drew 2 percent of the total viewing audience and 6 percent of those watching TV at the time.
"Five-0" could draw large numbers again next week. CBS announced Monday that one of the show’s main characters, Chin Ho Kelly, who is played by Daniel Dae Kim, will get married in the episode.
