Go!Mokulele adds neighbor island flights
Go!Mokulele is expanding neighbor island service with flights from Kahului to Kona and Lihue and is offering a fare promotion to mark the launch. The interisland carrier of Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group Inc. will begin operations on its two new routes on Jan. 1. One-way fares of $79 each are available through Sunday.
Hawaiian travel packages bring savings
Hawaiian Airlines launched a neighbor island travel program that allows customers to lock in fares over a one-year period and save up to 14 percent off the current lowest prices. There are four plans, ranging from a package of four round-trip tickets to a bundle of 60 one-way segments. Fares range from $64 per one-way segment ($512 total) with some restrictions for the smallest plan to $76 per segment ($4,588 total) for the largest. Hawaiian’s lowest fares from Honolulu are $74 to Kahului and Lihue and $80 to Hilo and Kona.
Camera maker revises earnings reports
TOKYO » Olympus Corp. submitted revised earnings reports today, meeting a deadline to avoid being removed from the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It still risks getting delisted later on because of an accounting scandal.
The deception at the Japanese camera and medical equipment maker, spanning three decades to hide $1.5 billion in investment losses, came to light when former President and Chief Executive Michael Woodford blew the whistle, questioning exorbitant fees and acquisitions.
